  We love staying at the Hinman Haus A. A few places could be improved. The rubber seal around the washing machine tub has a lot of black mold (?) in it. Also, the soap dispenser on the washing machine must never be dried out. It really smelled. I cleaned both every time I washed clothes - every one should do this. Also, we use the queen size beds on the second floor. Mattresses are really uncomfortable and the mattress cover has stains on it.

  My only gripe is that I was not aware that the building was a duplex so you share the pool area. Not a huge issue, just something that a renter should know when renting. The hot tub runs on a hour long timer, so to get it up to temp requires you to get it keep an eye on it, but it gets hot pretty quickly. Everything else was great, beds and bathrooms were clean and great.

  This was a great place to stay. We had a party of 9 and had plenty of room. The river is a quick walk and you can ride to the free exit and just walk back to the house. About a 10 minute walk. Would definitely recommend.

  Hinman Haus A is not a vacation rental to us - it is our winter home. We love it! Only one complaint. The washing machine was not very clean. We enjoy so many of the restaurants in the area and find new ones every year. As long as we are able, we will be back every winter. Love it!

  The property was very nice. The only problem we had was that the lease states you can use the properties tubes but that was not the case. Check in on Friday was at 4:00 and the office closed at 5:00. This was a Friday and the office was closed the weekend and we didn't have time to get there before 5. So, with that being said we had to spend an extra $300 for tube rental for our group. I called the after hour number and was told "well you would've had to get to our office by 5:00 on Friday". I totally understand that but if you can't check in until 4:00 its hard to get to their office (which is off site) before 5:00 deadline. This was the only issue we had and it was an expensive lesson learned. I wish we would've understood the process and would've went to their office before we checked in. You check in yourself at the property and don't go to the office.

    We send our apologies. This summer we moved over to keyless entries and send out our guests to the units due to complaints from our guests having to check into the office. They found it an inconvenience. In our low season we do close the office at 5pm and are closed on the weekends.

  This is the first time we stayed at the Hinman house and it was absolutely awesome. Everything you need is there. Wi-Fi, pool, bbq grill(bring tour own charcoal), silverware and everything is in good condition. It's right at the mouth of where you get on the river. My only complaint is that the floors and beds squeak very badly. Other than that it is perfect!

  Everything about our stay over Labor Day weekend was fantastic; I almost hate to say that because we hope it will be available for the next time! The house sits on the corner of the park which allows access to the Comal and neighbors several tube rental companies. The location could not be any more convenient. The house itself is relatively new and the interior is both nice and clean; better than similarly priced places I have stayed. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting on the porch, overlooking the park and river, and watching people walk and bike past. Overall, it was an excellent exprience.

  The location was unbeatable, short walk to the comal river and we walked to down town New Braunfels. The pool is much smaller and actually it's a hot tub but we still enjoyed it. We saw deer all weekend! Parking can be a problem when you have bad neighbors like we did. Plenty of beds, fold out couches, endless hot water & I can't wait to go back! The staff at River City Resorts was always prompt and so nice.

  The house was in the perfect location and was absolutely beautiful! Enjoyed how easily accessible the the tube rental places were and that we were walking distance to the entrance of the Comal. The only complaint I have is parking and the pool. When a house can sleep 12 people, why do we only get 4 parking passes max? There are SO many parking restrictions around the area of the house, it was IMPOSSIBLE to find an alternative parking spot for the extra cars in our party. The pool was dirty and glowing a funky yellow/green color. It felt and looked like a baby pool :/

  We had such an amazing stay. The house is in a great location and the ladies at River City Resorts are extremely helpful, very welcoming and friendly. The only draw back is the parking situation, it's pretty limited but they gave us 4 parking passes so we made it work. We also had great neighbors who we made friends with so we worked it all out.   We had 4 couples stay in this location. Having four bedrooms was perfect. With the size of the space more than 8 people might have been a little too cozy. The location of this property is absolutely perfect. You can see the entrance to the Comal from the porch and Schlitterbahn is right across the street. This rental came with free tubes so that saved us a ton of money! Walking distance to Schlitterbahn. Awesome patio where we watched deer play every night in the park. Kids loved the pool area!   My family and I needed a long term vaca rental and booked the a Hinman Haus for a few months. The prop mgmt staff was always so sweet and helpful and the property is great! Has everything you need, was clean and in a perfect location. Places to eat/shop within walking distance but still quiet. You can look out your window almost any time of day and see deer grazing across the street at the park. Loved it and would reccomend this place across the board!
