Water Wheel Resort Condominiums sits on Guadalupe Riverfront property with 2 Pools and 4 Hot tubs!
-Sitting on the relaxing bank of the Guadalupe River you can get a 20-minute float in by walking 5 minutes over to River Acres Parks off of the Common Street Bridge, get in, and float down to the private Water Wheel Resort riverbank (make sure you’re wearing the property specific wristband!) and repeat for free all day long!
-Take advantage of the beautiful green area on property, bring some lawn chairs to sit and have a day on the riverbank with the convenience of staying on property for lunch and bathroom breaks.
-A quick 10-minute walk to the Schlitterbahn East -Blastenhoff entrance! Pack your cooler, and sunscreen, and don't have to deal with finding a parking spot!
- Walk with your tubes and cooler for about 15 minutes to Prince Solms Park/Hinman Island Park for public access to the Comal River and Tube Chute, jump in and float down to the last public exit (corner of S Union and Lincoln St) About a 2 hour float! Walk back to Water Wheel about 15 minutes!
--Take a brisk 20 minute walk to nearby restaurants or stroll further into downtown New Braunfels to enjoy more local restaurants, bars and breweries, shop in our quaint boutiques, and get strudel in the oldest bakery in Texas, Naegelin's Bakery!
- If you want to float a long portion of the Guadalupe River, we advise you to drive to Rockin R to rent THEIR tubes and use their shuttle service.
-And, Gruene, Texas with the world-famous Gruene Hall and delicious restaurants such as Gruene River Grill and The Gristmill are only a 10-minute drive away!

Wristbands and Parking Passes are enforced at this property.
Each condo will receive wristbands per maximum occupancy, which must be worn at all times while on property and 2 parking passes. Renters are guaranteed 1 marked parking spot close to the front door of the condo while second-vehicle parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis anywhere unmarked on property. Overflow parking is first-come, first-served on Mather St. running parallel to the condo complex.

Security guards are enforced on premises.

  Great location. Good layout and bed space. Second bathroom is a little small (shower is TINY). Coffee maker didn’t work but lucky for us we had friends staying in a different spot and we could use theirs. This unit is in the same building as K and J and close to the smaller of the pools on property and farthest from the river.

  Thirteen years of enjoying this resort although in different condos. Past 7 years we have enjoyed our current rental. Well appointed. Clean. River City Resorts have been pleasant and timely with requests and any issues we have had. As we are winter Texans and stay for 3 months a new vacuum (the one provided pushes dirt and dust around - no suction) and mop system are required to make reasonable cleaning possible. Had to borrow vacuums from friends during our stay. Not weekenders or short term renters and treat our unit as our home. Overall pleased with our winter getaway.

  We were in town for our son's wedding and also rented another condo in the same complex with a different mgt company. This condo was cleaner and decorated better which appealed more to me than the other. It is true that the balcony faces the parking lot, but it was too hot to use the balcony anyway, so we would still pick this unit. This is very small, but since we had to travel via airplane and had liited lugage space, it would be nice if they provided pool towels and salt/pepper and coffee/coffee filters.

  The facility was nice, but the office staff was not helpful the day I checked in. I did not receive the email that stated I needed to download the app, so when I called to inquire about checking in the girl I spoke to only would tell me to download the app. "Everything is in the app". She wouldn't give me the address to the place, code to get in. I had to pull over and download the app to be able to figure out where I was going.

    We apologize for the confusion in regards to your understanding of the app. When guests pay at least their deposit, a contract is automatically issued to the guest to sign. In the contract is the information to download the Glad to Have You Hospitality App as that is how we manage our communication with the guests. The app does provide all the necessary information such as address, wifi and pool codes and can be shared with other guests in the party. Unfortunately, many guests do not read in full, contracts that they sign which can create some confusion. Again, we extend our apologies and are glad that you found the facility to your liking and that you had a great time!

  Great unit and good service with the exception of tv. A needed remote was missing, with no attempt to get it. The cable remote did not work properly and the tv would shut off if you increased the volume. We were told we would be compensated but never were.

    We are glad that you found the unit VERY clean. We do walk thrus prior to guest arrival and the TV was working correctly on the walk thru. Maintenance responded twice onsite for guest user error issue with the TV. The guest was shown how to use the one remote needed to operate the TV and maintenance even sent the office a video of the TV working. In regards to compensation, that was never communicated to the guest. Typically discounts are not offered for user error.

  Have enjoyed our winter Texan experience at Waterwheel Resort for 10 years. Have rented a few different condos with different management groups. Love our newer condo for its amenities, most comfortable beds and overall decor. Condo buildings, pools and surrounding property are well maintained. River City Resort management group is responsive and courteous. Unfortunately, this 3 bedroom condo has a very user unfriendly dining room table and bar style chairs. Extremely uncomfortable and impossible to seat more than 2-3 people at the round table or enjoy an evening of cards/games. We are hopeful that our requests via River City Resorts to the owners will result in a proper table and chairs with backs so we can more fully enjoy entertaining family and friends. The living room furniture is showing signs of wear and again we have reported the conditions to the management group and hope that owners will provide some ongoing maintenance to ensure quality accommodations.

  So glad we missed the frigid winter back in Canada even though weather here was coolest we have had in 10 years! This Unit is tastefully decorated, beds excellent and newer appliances makes our 3 month stay very comfortable. Furniture is showing some wear and once again have asked Management Agency to request from owners a proper table and chairs with backs for dining room. Present table and bar style stools are extremely uncomfortable and unusable for any entertaining. Management agency is very responsive to any questions or concerns.

  Very nice condo! Not only spacious, but the perfect arrangement of bedrooms for our crew of 8. Although our bands and parking passes were not there when we arrived, the after hours management took action right away and we had them before we returned from getting the kids ice cream. I deducted one star because some of the towels were still wet in the drier, so we had to finish them ourselves. Overall. a very wonderful vacation and we will definitely be back!

  We have spent our past 9 years at this Waterwhell resort. Again we had a great winter experience in a lovely condo . The amenities of this condo are exceptional. The unit was clean but perhaps a focus on cleaning window ledges and under the bed dust bunnies present on our arrival could be addressed. The only complaint we have is that for a three bedroom condo the dining table is small , circular and unable to accommodate more than 2 people. The circular small table limits seating and the pedestal bar stools (no chairs with backs) are extremely uncomfortable. We and many other renters question whether the management companies/owners are aware of the large increase in dog population and subsequent "deposits" on the general property by irresponsible owners. Very frustrating! The overall property is well maintained.

  We went for a quick girls trip and L203 was so adorable. the furniture, the decoration, everything. the fully stocked kitchen was so nice because we tried to make breakfasts at home, and the patio was so big and wrapped around! The only bad thing was the water. we had 7 girls so the water wasnt hot for very long. the property manager said it was for legal reasons, and it wont stay as hot as what you have at home.. but the second night some of us showered at night some in the morning and it was fine! I would just recommend splitting it up if you can :)

The condo had everything we needed and I only wish we had longer to enjoy the amenities of the property. In fact, instead of going out on the last night, we just got a pizza and stayed "home". We would definitely go back!

  It was a great condo, plenty of space. Even though it rained most of the weekend we still enjoyed it. Only bummer was the pool, we tried going (10pm) and the officer onsite was rude and said it was closed.

  We rented two units, so I left a more detailed review for the other one. Bottom line is that we were a big family, and we had a great time at the property, and both units were perfect. We spent a lot of time in the river and at the pools, and the huge lawn was great for letting the kids run around in the evening. The individual units were a good size and they had everything we needed. For the price, we were very satisfied. The only issue was the limitation on parking (two cars per unit), but the property management folks were helpful in that regard and we easily solved the problem. Good times were had by all, whether at Schlitterbahn or just lounging by the water all weekend. The big HEB grocery store is a little far (maybe 20 minutes?), but everything else (including one of the Schlitterbahn parks) is nearby without being in the congested middle of town.

    Glad you had a fabulous weekend! We have 3 HEB's now here in town and on the weekends in the summer, all 3 would be about 20 minutes from any of our properties and crowded to boot! But that new HEB Plus is an adventure in itself! Bring that large family back next year!

  We had a large family of 13 people going and wanted to have rooms next to each other . We rented K-203 and L-203 the condos were beautiful and exceptionally clean. Next door was the pick up location to tube on the comal River. This place is in a great location close to Schlitterbahn . I would defiantly stay here again.
