Pecan River Ranch

This one of a kind property sits along the banks of the San Marcos River, providing a relaxing backdrop for everyone and is the perfect meeting place for friends and family!

The Pecan River Ranch is a 2,700 sq. ft. single family, one story home with a separate bunk house with room for your whole group.

The main living area including the kitchen and living room, Master Suite (2 - queen bed) and second Bedroom Suite (2 full size beds) and private bath are all located in the Main house.

Two additional bedrooms are located in our detached bunk house. The first bedroom has 2 sets of full over full bunk beds and a full size Murphy bed. The second bedroom has (2) full Size beds with panoramic views of the San Marcos Ranch. The two rooms comfortably share a spacious full size bathroom.

  We had a few families with kids for a weekend get away and this place was so relaxing! It was great to be able to stay on property and float it without having to leave all weekend. We spent most of our time by the river and on the patio hanging out, cooking, floating, and the kids did some exploring. It is away from the crowds at other rivers so great for families with children.

  The house, the land, the river was all perfect! The bonus was River City Resorts and their professionalism, communication and willingness to make this a great experience. 5 stars to them. Property was perfect. Myself, my wife and 5 other couples stayed there and had a blast. The smell everyone talks about is there, yes, but it’s in spurts and not an issue to me. Just smells like someone farted here and there lol! Bring your own tubes from Academy ($10) and float from the top of the property down to the sandbar at the bottom of the property. Perfect 30 min float when we went. Porch with TV’s and smoker/grill were perfect. Jacuzzi was an added bonus. Great place to stay—will def be coming back.
  ***Only recommendation to improve the stay—Owner/Management, it would be awesome if y’all could leave a trailer at the property for guests to lug their tubes back and forth from drop in/get out spot. Not a must, but definitely a bonus. Hauling 10 tubes back and forth took multiple vehicles/trips and became a daunting task for such a short float.
  
  Other than that, 10/10 stars. Quiet, peaceful, homey, private river with no other floaters.

  Great time and place to have are 3 families together but still have enough space.
  The kitchen, long dining table and living area all being together was Super.
  Very disappointed with the outside and yard maintenance, inside was great but outside looked like it had been neglected for a while. Unlike the several other times we had stayed there. Simple fix and we would definitely go again.

  If you're looking for somewhere away from the crowds this is definitely the place! Beautiful house on beautiful land. Bring your own tubes and use their direct river access for a nice 30min-1hr float (depending on how fast the river is moving). Loved the back porch and it's view! Our only complaint is the porch ceiling fan didn't work. Had we known we would have brought our own floor fan to keep air moving. Totally minor in the grand scheme of things, definitely plan to book again!

  A really fun time out at this ranch. House is wonderful, clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked and best were great. Only downside is that it smells - and in a very strong way - like oil/gas if there is not a breeze. As you should note, the street name of this house is Oil Field Drive...and it depicts the area well. There is a pump well right outside the kitchen window and the fumes surround the house when there is not a breeze. Which is a shame, because everything else about this place is fantastic!
