Oma's Seidel Haus

This cozy, German-style fachwerk cottage has a large living area and three bedrooms - enough space for an occupancy of 10 people.

A cheerful kitchen nook has all the convenience you will need for preparing foods and entertaining.

It's only a short walk from Oma Seidel's Haus to the Blastenhoff and Surfenburg section of Schlitterbahn.

Note: Oma Seidel's Haus is next door to Opa Seidel's Haus (Occupancy-6). For a large group (up to 16 people) you may be able to reserve both properties for your visit!

  This house was in the perfect location for our family. It was located literally steps away-just across the street-from the main entrance to the newer Schlitterbahn water park. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The AC kept the house cool during those hot 100* or more temperatures and kept our family comfortable.

  The house fit my party of 7 perfectly. Everyone had a comfortable bed and there were enough bathrooms for use when needed. There was enough glassware and dishes for everyone for the weekend. The location for tubing was ideal, mid way between the entrance and exit of the river. We would definitely stay here again.

  We stayed here with another couple and our kids. The rooms were nice and the bathroom downstairs had been remodeled. Kitchen had everything you would need and great patio area for hanging out outside.
  We walked right across the street to Schlitterbahn, which was awesome with smaller kids and we could easily run back to the house for anything we forgot or to give smaller kids a break. I would definitely recommend, especially if you are palanning to float the river or go to the park.

  Nice clean home situated just steps away from Schlitterbahn. The only issue we had was that there are no bath tubs - only showers. This made it difficult to bathe our little ones. If you have smaller children, you will want to bring a child gate to block off the stairs. The carport is excellent for relaxing outside, as is the porch swing. This will be out go-to rental from now on when visiting NB.

  This property is great. It was big enough to accommodate my whole family with more than enough elbow room. It was convenient to have a fully stocked house with W/D, full kitchen, towels, pillows, blankets, basically anything you needed it was already in the house. We loved the free tube rentals. It was overall a great experience. Only thing I would change is that the all white linen and towels are hard to keep clean and the downstairs bathroom only had a tub. It was a nice tub for romantic stays but not for family stays with teenagers.

  The house was deceptively spacious (probably ideal for 7-8 people) and has many upgrades from Opa's Haus that justify the higher price per person ($87.50/person with 6 at Opa's vs $125.50/person with 10 at Oma's).   This is a great rental house and the price is reasonable (January 15 - March 15). Three good-sized bedrooms and two baths. Bigger, we understand, than most condos. Wi-fi internet and washer/dryer greatly appreciated. Within walking distance of downtown. Quiet neighborhood in the winter. Downside, not many other Winter Texans nearby to visit with as in a condo or RV park.
