Water Wheel D102 is a first-floor unit that sits on a bluff along the Guadalupe River, offering plenty of space and a private balcony overlooking the beautiful green area that trails down to the Guadalupe River.

Fully furnished with bathing towels, bed linens, cookware, a standard drip coffee maker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV's and more!
Property grills are located down the green area with picnic tables going down toward the second pool and Guadalupe River access.

-Sitting on the relaxing bank of the Guadalupe River you can get a 20-minute float in by walking 5 minutes over to River Acres Parks off of the Common Street Bridge, get in, and float down to the private Water Wheel Resort riverbank (make sure you’re wearing the property specific wristband!) and repeat for free all day long!
-Take advantage of the beautiful green area on property, bring some lawn chairs to sit and have a day on the riverbank with the convenience of staying on property for lunch and bathroom breaks.
-A quick 10-minute walk to the Schlitterbahn East -Blastenhoff entrance! Pack your cooler, and sunscreen, and don't have to deal with finding a parking spot!
- Walk with your tubes and cooler for about 15 minutes to Prince Solms Park/Hinman Island Park for public access to the Comal River and Tube Chute, jump in and float down to the last public exit (corner of S Union and Lincoln St) About a 2 hour float! Walk back to Water Wheel about 15 minutes!
--Take a brisk 20 minute walk to nearby restaurants or stroll further into downtown New Braunfels to enjoy more local restaurants, bars and breweries, shop in our quaint boutiques, and get strudel in the oldest bakery in Texas, Naegelin's Bakery!
- If you want to float a long portion of the Guadalupe River, we advise you to drive to Rockin R to rent THEIR tubes and use their shuttle service.
-And, Gruene, Texas with the world-famous Gruene Hall and delicious restaurants such as Gruene River Grill and The Gristmill are only a 10-minute drive away!

Places we recommend that are within a 10-20 minute walk to and from the complex:
Restaurants: Pats Place, Tin Top Burgers, Union Street Station, Muck & Fuss, New Braunfels Coffee, The Mess Around, Naegelin's Bakery, Bootlegger Pizza, Krause’s Café, McAdoos Seafood, Myrons Prime Steakhouse.
Bars/Night Life: The Oyster Bar, Calahans Pub & Pizza, Black Whale Pub, Moonshine & Ale, Phoenix Saloon, Scores Sports Bar, The Pour Haus, Downtown Social.

Everyone in party must be 25 or older to book. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented to receive check-in information.
Occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests are allowed. Pet-friendly unit with additional fees.

Wristbands and Parking Passes are enforced at this property.
Each condo will receive wristbands per maximum occupancy, which must be worn at all times while on property and 2 parking passes. Renters are guaranteed 1 marked parking spot close to the front door of the condo while second-vehicle parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis anywhere unmarked on property. Overflow parking is first-come, first-served on Mather St. running parallel to the condo complex.

Security guards are enforced on premises to ensure only guests of Water Wheel are using the grounds are parking in correct parking spaces.

  Glad to have found the place on such short notice. Easy to checkin- got a code for the lock, which was great since we arrived late in the evening. The place was nice, not the Four Seasons, but it was what we needed. Confy beds, cable in each room, full kitchen, cute nature view out back. Parking wasn’t bad, they were pretty strict on checking for passes though. One security guard was cool, made us feel welcome, but some other guard had a very accusatory deameanor and was kind of a toolbag. Nonetheless, it was a great stay and would go back again!

  I was nervous about this place. Condo areas can have a lot of noise and traffic. However, this was great, we had D102 which faced the larger pool and had a huge open field that deer came to each day. The place had two b/b and no twins or bunk beds so it was great for couples without children!! The condo area itself was never loud with parties or children and the overall area was clean and the location was great...only about a 7 dollar uber to Gruene. I will be back to this location.

  My family of 4 stayed during the week of Dec 25th to Jan 1st. We had stayed at this unit last year as well and we returned because it is a great apartment. The living room is very nicely furnished with leather sofa and flat screen TV. There is a high table for meals. The kitchen is OK....starting to get a bit outdated when it comes to the appliances, but everything works well still. The rooms are small, but with comfortable beds and sufficient furnishing for a weeks stay. Bathrooms are standard...everything working fine. We used the heating only once or twice and the apartment was cozy for the winter nights. The apartment has a nice view to the gardens and pool area, and a small balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Winter is a slow time for the area, but we enjoy the comfortable apartment and the great restaurants in downtown New Braunfels. Will come back next year!

  Spent the week after Christmas with four other families at Waterwheel. The property is well located...5 minutes from I35, with easy access to all types of business and food options. Downtown New Braunfels is worth the visit, with nice restaurants and shops. Our condo was well equipped, but the mattresses need to be changed or at least flipped over. Both bedrooms were quite small. Living room area was extremely nice. Kitchen OK...needs more appliances/utensils. Heating works great. Overall a very nice stay.

  We had a blast! Free shuttle from our condo to the comal and they pick us up and drop off! Had area to get in and lounge in the Guadalupe river. So clean and nice in our condo. All the other guest were friendly! Definitely a good time was had by all! Only complaint would be that the property never came to get the trash from the pool area so it really piled up over the weekend but never had trash on the property grounds! Would definitely go back and may next year :)

My grand-baby loved the small water fountain in the swimming pool Walked down to the river and went tubing.
