The condo complex offers charcoal grills and private access for all Waterwheel guests to their choice of 2 pools and 4 hot tubs. (During the winter season the river pool is heated when available). The world famous Schlitterbahn is approximately 6 blocks away and the condos are only a short drive into Downtown New Braunfels or Historic Gruene!

This condo offers 2-bedrooms with a king-size bed, full-size bed, sleeper-sofa, & 2-baths. This unit will sleep up to 6 people and is fully furnished including linens, bath towels, cookware, washer/dryer, TV’s & a DVD player. Located along the scenic Guadalupe River. Maximum Occupancy: 6.   Very clean, convenient location, close to the water, comfy furniture and beds. Definitely bring more toilet paper, paper towels and dishwasher pods. It was SO nice having a stackable washer and dryer. There’s security who walks the property, we (a group of all girls)all felt very safe.

  We enjoyed our stay a Waterwheel. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with what they described on the website. The master bedroom was big and the walk in closet was perfect for a pack and play. We spent a lot of time on the large and very comfortable balcony.
  My only complaint was that there was not a restroom at the pool closest to the river, which was the nicest pool for young children. It's a long run to the condo when a child needs a restroom.

  The WaterWheel was great- more than what we expected for sure and it was our first time to stay there. We would definitely stay there again. The green space in the back was awesome and plenty room to cook and relax. Our room actually overlooked that area and was very nice.

  The condo was great! Owners did a great job with the inside! Super clean! Would be back to stay in this unit again! Only problem we had was with security, they did nothing but look at peoples parking passes but if someone was in your parking spot they said they would tow but it never happened. They walked around making friends with everyone while people were smoking in hot tub and just acted like it was no big deal. People were playing VERY Loud music till 1-2 in the morning and nothing was said when they checked up on them. Security was a joke!

  The condo was very clean and relaxing. The pools looked nice but we did not get a chance to enjoy them or the hot tubs which was one of the reasons we chose this condo. The view from out patio was beautiful looking at the trees and saw a lot of deer running around. The steps down by the river were nice. We did not get in the water there but it was relaxing to sit and talk and hear the sound of the flowing water. The only thing i did not like is the pool closing at 11:00. By the time we got off the river back to the condo cooked dinner there was no time to get in the pool or hot tub. I think it should be open later for people who want to just sit and relax. The security watched the pool and kicked out the people who were being loud and disruptive but for those of us who wanted to just enjoy the hot tub and relax we were not able to.

  It was a great condo we stayed in at Waterwheel Resort. The location was perfect, we were walking distance to the pool and you could also go hang out near the river.
  
  Cons: they only provide two trash bags, they said it should have had two rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom (one bathroom did not), our condo came with two parking spots and someone used our condos labeled parking spot and I couldn't find an after hour number to the management company.
  
  Just some bumps in the road, overall great place and I would recommend it.

    Sorry Desiree! We would have brought you more trash bags and toilet paper! Our housekeepers are to stock the kitchen trash bags with 5. I will pass this information onto them as we hold all River City Resorts staff accountable. Our web site, App and all of our communication with our guests has our phone numbers, including confirmation and arrival emails. We provide on site security with a list of our guests, what unit they are in and our maintenance and weekend on call staff phone numbers. They too could have assisted with the parking issue. I hope that you can give us another chance to have a great weekend!

  I've stayed at the Waterwheel with a group 3 different times in E201, D202, and now E303. Each unit has been spectacular and easily accommodates the maximum number of guests. This last time we stayed in E303 and it was a large, spacious 2 bedroom with beautiful Texas decor. We loved it and will definitely try to stay in this unit (or the other two) again.

  Everything here is awesome! The larger pool that stays open very late, was out for 3 days/evenings during our stay which disappointed us. We were told to use the smaller pool. We did but many young children filled it up & it did not stay open as late. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars all across the board. However we will still return.

  We have stayed at two of the condos at Waterwheel & they were both very nice. The property is perfectly located since it is close to Gruene Hall, Schlitterbahn, I-35 & downtown New Braunfels. The property grounds are kept immaculate & the pool areas are nice to relax in. You can also enjoy the Guadalupe River directly from these condos. We will definitely stay here again.
